An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Treasury Team as Banking Lead - Operational, based at Central Support in Hull. This role would suit someone who is organised, confident working with banking and reconciliation processes, and able to take ownership of key operational controls while supporting colleagues across the business.

Main Purpose

To lead and support the operational banking activity within the Treasury Team, ensuring daily cash forecasting, factoring processes, bank reconciliations and banking controls are completed accurately, efficiently and within required deadlines. The role will provide ownership of key daily and month-end processes, maintain strong relationships with banking partners, support Company Credit Card policy compliance, and help ensure effective service to branches and internal departments.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain daily cash forecasting, including one-month, 13-week and longer-term cash views to support treasury planning and decision-making.

• Own the factoring process, including daily receipt uploads and the full end-to-end process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and appropriate controls.

• Oversee bank reconciliation and control activity, including month-end reconciliations, investigation of reconciling items and timely resolution of queries.

• Maintain banking relationship and control processes, including liaison with incumbent and other banking partners where required.

• Manage various banking account activities, ensuring postings and supporting checks are completed accurately.

• Support relevant inboxes request.

• Review and process card fees and bank charges, ensuring costs are recorded, queried and reconciled where required.

• Provide support on Company Credit Card spend, including submissions, policy controls, compliance and cost uploads.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Strong experience of working in an Accounts environment with a sound understanding of bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, banking controls and month-end processes.

• Experience of factoring, receipt allocation or similar cash and debtor funding processes would be beneficial.

• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify risks, investigate discrepancies and maintain strong controls.

• Confident numerical and analytical skills, with good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems.

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage daily deadlines, month-end requirements and competing priorities.

• Ability to take ownership of processes, support colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement within the Treasury Team.

• Completion of or studying towards an accounting qualification.
